SavvY prepared a business plan regarding a cold storage facility for apples in the Shida Kartli Region. During this project we explored two different markets, the apple market and the cold storage market. The purpose was to determine the main characteristics of these markets: key stakeholders, trends, etc. in order to deliver valid projections. Based on the historical data, SavvY’s team estimated the volume of the apple market, the volume of cold storage facilities, regional shares, apple production levels for upcoming years and sales dynamics. Furthermore, in-depth interviews were conducted with local farmers and cold storage facility owners which informed us on challenges a new cold storage facility might face and as a result the team came up with a plan to overcome those challenges.
